On Saturday, Mary Baldwin started the game down 7-0 but with a 3-pointer by Brooke Anders with 4:55 left in the first quarter, the Fighting Squirrels would take the lead and never look back. Mary Baldwin had 10 players contribute to their scoring efforts and led by as many as 33 points at one point in the game. Nicole Mallon contributed 10 points, 8 rebounds and Brook Anders added 12 points. First-year Hannah Varner contributed 15 points from beyond the arc, shooting 5-10 from the 3-point line. "A sense of urgency is the phrase that comes to mind given our 3-0 start in the new year," said head coach, Ross James. "The team understands that every game is a battle and their willingness to fight for each other is ultimately what will lead to individual, as well as team success."

Mary Baldwin will play their final game of the homestand on Wednesday, January 9th against conference opponent Greensboro at 6pm.
