BEREA, Ky. – The Mary Baldwin University track & field team travels to participate in the USA South Championships this week, hosted by Berea College.
The Fighting Squirrels are one of 10 teams competing for the women's conference title in the first conference championship since 1986.
The men's team will also participate in events in Berea, but are not able to claim conference championships.
Entering the USA South meet, the Fighting Squirrels have several high-seeded performers. Alice Wardy enters as the top performer in the 200 meter dash with a school record time of 25.66 and also in the 400 meter run at 59.66.
Quinland Musgrove also sits seventh in the league in the 400 meter with a 1:02.86 and holds the second-best mark in the long jump at 5.07 meters. She also is tied with teammate Kay Patton in the high jump at 1.44 meters.
Events begin at noon tomorrow, April 18 and will continue on Friday, April 19. Live results for all events will be provided and can be found on marybaldwinathletics.com
