STAUNTON, VA – Paul Yee, who has served as the head volleyball and tennis coach at Mary Baldwin University, has resigned effective at the end of the academic year.
Yee came to Mary Baldwin in 2007 as the head volleyball coach. During his tenure the team compiled a record of 27-282. Yee began coaching the year Mary Baldwin joined the USA South Athletic Conference.
A native of Chicago, IL, Yee has coached Mary Baldwin’s all-time career kills leader (Colena Roberts), all-time career assists leader (Kim Clum) and all-time career digs leader (Kristin Guffey). During Yee’s time at the helm, the program also produced the top player in career kills per set (Colena Roberts) and the #2 player (Candace Pettway) in career digs per set.
After serving as the assistant tennis coach for four seasons, Yee became the head coach in 2010-11. Under his guidance, the Fighting Squirrels have gone 15-87 and produced two USA South All-Conference honorable mention student-athletes.
Coach Yee has also coached numerous Mary Baldwin Scholar Athletes and USA South Scholar Athletes.
In addition to his coaching duties, Coach Yee has served as the sports information director and as an adjunct professor in physical education.
