After the game, Head Coach Ross James said, "First, I want to thank Coach Atkinson and her staff on the warm welcome we received upon arrival.  They made us feel right at home from the beginning.  Tonight's game was decided by which team could make the right decision late in the game.  Tonight we managed to escape with a few less errors and it allowed us to come out ahead.  The team is eager for our first conference game on Saturday.  I am looking forward to having a full roster with all my players in practice before we open up."

Mary Baldwin University, 1-3, begin conference play this weekend traveling to Methodist University on Saturday and North Carolina Wesleyan College on Sunday.
